2012 Race News
SAVE THE DATE!
We are underway in planning for the 16th Annual Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure! This year's race will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at UCF's Bright House Network Stadium.
Online registration opens in June 2012. Komen relies on hundreds of volunteers throughout the year to plan the Race and to raise breast cancer awareness in our community. Those of you that are part of our 2012 Race Committee, we could not do this without you and we are so thankful for the hard work you dedicate to this event.

Fast Facts
• Last year our grantees diagnosed 236% more breast cancers in
Central Florida.
• New guidelines say there is now enough evidence to strongly
recommend physical activity and better nutrition for survivors. The guidelines
state that for many cancers, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising and
eating a healthy diet can reduce the risk that
cancer will return.
